Mr. Abdul Jabber is the pioneer board of director and chairman of Faraja Microfinance Ltd. Mr. Jabber is an Agribusiness expert with more than 21 years of professional experience in various fields of agricultural value chain including private sector, public sector and development sector.

The main areas of expertise are market system development, strategic planning, market assessment, financial access, small scale farmers training, feasibility studies, project planning, budgeting, production of vegetables, flowers, and chrysanthemum cuttings, post-harvest handling, processing, new market development, product development, value addition, sales and marketing and financial management. He has experience in interpretation and implementation of International standards like EUREPGAP, GLOBAL GAP, MPS GAP, MPS ETI, MPS SQ, MPS Packers, FFP, ISO 9002, HACCP, ISO, M4P and Fare Trade. .

Mr. Jabber holds Doctorate (PhD.) in Business Administration (DBA), in 2019 from Commonwealth University. He also holds masters in Crop Science in 1999 from Makerere University, Uganda. Mr. Jabber is a Board of Director at Zagro Uganda Limited, a subsidiary of Zagro Singapore privet Ltd. (www.zagro.com) company since July 2021 up to date. He was a Board of Director from April 2010 to 31st April 2012 at Fresh Handling Limited, Entebbe, Uganda. Mr. Jabber has been working in various top management level in some international companies, he worked as an Agribusiness Manager (February 2017 to 30th June 2021) at International Fertilizer Development Center (IFDC) www.ifdc.org. Mr. Jabber worked as a General Manager, Agriculture (May 2012 to December 2015) at Balton Uganda Ltd. (www.baltoncp.com). Mr. Jabber worked as a Managing Director (April 2010 to 31st April 2012) at Royal Van Zanten Ltd. Dutch Consortium in Uganda. He also worked as a General Manager (July 1999 to March 2010) Mairye Estates Limited Uganda. He started his career as a Field Manager from June 1997 to February 1999 at Magic Flowers Ltd. .
