OUR HISTORY

Faraja Microfinance Ltd is a private limited company incorporated on the 6th day of May, 2024 under the laws of Uganda with certificate No. 80034384090728 and licensed by Uganda Microfinance Regulatory Authority (UMRA). FARAJA Microfinance is a finance institution which is targeting all low-income Clients mostly Female micro-entrepreneurs and Muslim Clients who do not accept financial services due to interest (Riva) payment, our target is to have an inclusive financial service in all our target areas that enables even the financially very poor to be introduced to the economic sector by supporting them towards financial breakthrough. Our Head office is located on Plot 3122, Steka House (2nd Floor), Canon Rd, Ntinda-Kigoowa Road, in Kampala. Faraja Microfinance currently has 09 Branches, with our operations in Lugazi Town council (Buikwe district), Jinja-Mivule Crescent ( Jinja district), Musita Town council (Mayuge district), Kamuli Town council (Kamuli district), Iganga branch (Iganga district), Mbale (Mbale district), Sironko Town council (Sironko district), Budaka Town council (Budaka district) and Tororo Municipal council (Tororo district) totalling to 09 Branches in the year 2025, our main Goal is to cover the whole of Uganda in the next 10 years with over 50 high breed branches. The company is owned by both Ugandan nationals and foreigners, the company employs Ugandan personnels for its operations, with guidance from some Bangladeshi professionals.
